HISTORY OF ELECTRIC BARBARELLAS

Cover Story kali ini ingin mengulas kembali tentang duo dj wanita fenomenal yang pernah ada di Indonesia yaitu “Electric Barbarellas”. Grup DJ yang di awaki oleh Devina dan Milinka ini pernah menghentak dunia musik dengan menggabungkan antara aksi DJ dengan fashion.

Suatu hari, dua tahun silam, di sebuah klub di Bali mereka bertemu. “Aku lagi belajar nih, serius, sama seorang DJ profesional di Kemang,” ucap Milinka kepada Devina Rosandi, kenalan barunya. “Oh, belajar ya? Aku sih cuma mengamati para DJ berkreasi,” jawab Devina, lajang yang lahir dari orang tua berdarah Cina, Belanda, dan Indonesia.

 

Perbincangan jadi mengasyikkan. Maklum, keduanya sudah lama mengenal dunia DJ, termasuk para pelakunya. Tapi, khusus DJ perempuan, sejauh ini jarang ada yang bisa bertahan lama. Lalu terbetiklah ide membuat duo DJ perempuan. “Belum ada, kan?” tutur Devina bersemangat.

 

Milinka, yang waktu itu berprofesi sebagai pialang saham, mengangguk. Tapi pemilik nama asli Milinka Mikaela Radisic ini buru-buru mengingatkan agar tidak disamakan dengan Ratu. “Dunia kami berbeda,” katanya.

prodigy:”the omen from invaders must die”

The Prodigy are back! Here is their first single “The Omen” to be taken from their forthcoming album Invaders Must Die. The actual video was originally recalled as the editing was so fast, coupled with the lights of the live shows that it failed the Photosensitivity test that establishes whether or not a video is safe for viewing by people susceptible to seizures caused by rapid flashing lights (only the Prodigy)!

However, the video was edited to combat this issue and now it can be viewed in all its glory. Not long now and the band will be hitting up the U.S. for the Winter Music Conference more dates TBA!
